Doctor Who Live trip (Created 10 weeks ago)

I have just reserved 48 tickets for the Doctor Who Live show at Wembley Arena on Saturday October 9 at 7.00 (details below).  I plan to run a group family trip and to hire a coach to get us there and back. The top price tickets cost £38.12 each (10 per cent discout for group booking).  The coach should cost approximate cost £15 per person (Lion King trip coach cost £10 each)  making a projected total cost of £53.

The trip is open to family and friends and will run as long as at least 10 people want to go (group discount applies to bookings of 10 or more - I will be going with my family so 5 of those tickets have gone already!)  If we don't have enough people to fill a coach then we will just all make our own way there via public transport.

I need to pay for the tickets by 18 June so if you want to go I will need your ticket money by no later than Tuesday 15 June - the coach can be paid for nearer the time.  However, in order to gauge interest, please can you let me know if you would like to come and how many tickets you would like - thanks very much.

As ever if you have any questions please do contact me

The new stage show, based upon the BBC's smash-hit, award-winning series Doctor Who, promises to deliver a spectacular audio/visual experience featuring live music, special effects and appearances from the show's most popular monsters. Developed in association with Doctor Who's Executive Producer and show runner, Steven Moffat, Doctor Who Live promises the same excitement, adventure and suspense that viewers have come to expect from the TV programme and will feature specially filmed new video scenes.

Opening in wartime London and concluding in an epic onstage battle, audiences should expect the unexpected as the The Doctor's arch-enemies the Daleks are joined by some of the best-loved and most terrifying monsters from the TV series including the Cybermen, Weeping Angels, Judoon and Oods to name but a few.

With an out-of-this-world set, Doctor Who Live will feature special FX, optical illusions and spectacular pyrotechnics building to an epic finale. Specially edited video clips, drawn from the TV Programme will be shown on a massive screen and accompanied by the music of longtime Doctor Who composer Murray Gold. These iconic scores will be brought to life by a 16 piece orchestra live on stage.

Murray Gold said: "The live element always adds something extra, but these will also be brand new arrangements for a new band of very talented musicians. It's very exciting."

Doctor Who Live has been conceived as a fully immersive music and monsters spectacular. Please note that actors from the TV series will not be appearing live on stage.

Important message re subs (Created 12 weeks ago)

Can all parents please note that subs are due within the first two weeks of each new term.  Unfortunately we have a large amount of subs still unpaid which causes us potential problems as we need this money to pay for your childrens' activities - including the hire of the school halls.

If you have not already done so please can you bring your child's subs of £30 (cheques payable to CVSG please) in an envelope marked "subs" with your child's name on it to next week's meeting and hand it to your section leader - thank you.

Thank you very much to those parents who have already paid their subs.
