Mulled wine recipe (Created 10 weeks ago)

for all of you who enjoyed the mulled wine tonight, here's the recipe:

It's a process more than a recipe!...but I'll try and do it for 2 bottles of wine and you can extrapolate as you wish.
Buy Cinnamon sticks and dried All Spice berries from the market.
The Mull can be made in advance if you have a large enough bottle to keep it in.

Two Cinnamon sticks

Two desert spoons of All Spice Berries

Few cloves

One Litre of OJ

One litre of cheap full fat lemonade

White sugar - say half a pound.

Add all of the above to a pan, stir and boil for at least 30min or simmer for an hour, the longer the better = The Mull.

In a separate pan warm the wine do not boil!

Sieve the Mull into the wine and add half the lemonade

Taste...add more sugar/lemonade as you see fit

For a stronger brew, don't add the lemonade

Worth using more OJ and spices so that you can play around getting the mix right and if you don't need it, at least it makes the room smell nice

PLEASE BRING INHAILERS TO MEETINGS (Created Over a year ago!)

Dear Parents
you are reminded that it is your responsibility to ensure that if your child has been perscribed with an inhaler that they bring it along with them to each weeks meeting.
Each week there is usually at least one game that involves physical exertion.
With this in mind should your child arrive without their inhaler we will be contacting you to return with an inhaler for your child.
Thank you
Hawk

time and exit arrangements (Created Over a year ago!)

To improve pick up arrangements Beavers will now  start at 6.15pm and finish at 7.25pm. Children should be collected at the far end of the hall accessed through the side gate on the right just before the main entrance. This will make it easier for the scouts to come in at the front entrance.

Please come inside the hall to collect your child and inform a mamber of staff if you are collecting someone else's child

Thankyou for your co-operation.
